1. What Video formats do you support?
We support all major video formats : mpg,avi,mov,mp4,wmv.
2. How do I upload a video?
There are two ways : The first is you can browse your computer files. Select the video you would like to upload and click the submit button. Or you may use our web cam feature. Just click the record button on the web cam feature window and leave your message. Click stop button on when finished recording.
3. Can I use my web cam to upload a video directly to People's Court Raw?
Yes, Just click the record button on the web cam feature window and leave your message, Click stop button when finished recording. When using this feature your video must be a minimum of 10 seconds and a maximum of 5 minutes.
4. Does People's Court Raw support PC and MAC?
Yes People's Court Raw will work with both PC and MAC.
5. Do I need to make my video file a certain size, or a certain resolution?
The only limit is the video should be no larger than 30MB.
6. How do videos get featured in the feature window on the main page?
The People's Court Raw staff hand-picks the featured cases of the day .
7. How do I search for a specific Argument?
You may search for arguments by case ID number, case title or tags .
8. How do I start an Argument?
Creating an argument is simple. First click the “Create your Own” link at the top. Provide a little info about yourself and click next. At this point you may upload your video by selecting on from your computer or you may record one using your web cam. When the video upload is complete you will be taken to a form to fill out to notify the defendant! That’s it.
9. Do I have to have a camcorder to make videos?
No, If you have a webcam, you can record your argument real-time! The argument must be at least 10 seconds long and cannot exceed 5 minutes.
10. How do I use my webcam with People's Court Raw?
People's Court Raw uses the latest technology utilizing Adobe flash to use your computer’s webcam. Most often Flash will automatically detect your cameta attached to your computer. However, in some ases you may get a pop-up window asking if you would like to allow or deny a flash connection to your camer Click "alow". Also some Mac users will need to select which camera they wish to use from this same window.
11. How long are my arguments available on People's Court Raw?
Your video case will remain on People's Court Raw until you decide to close it in your " My Arguments " section of the website.
12.How long is the voting period?
There are three potential time periods for voting. Depending on what the People's Court Raw administrators set the voting can last from 10,20,30 days.Most often 30 days will be the time period.
13. How long can my video be?
There’s no real restriction on time length, just file size(30Mb), so keep that in mind when recording your video. As a general rule your video should not exceed 5 minutes.
14. What does the video rating represent?
The video rating system is a way for users to provide feedback on the argument as a whole. Arguments can be filtered by rating on the public arguments page to see which are highest rated .
15. How long before my argument is posted?
There $to# video posting. People's Court Raw will only publish videos that have both an argument and defense, so both argument and defense videos must be uploaded and processed before the argument will be made public. Once both videos have been uploaded, People's Court Raw will format and publish the argument as soon as possible depending upon upload volume. This should not take long but could take up to several hours .
16. What if I don't want to respond to an argument that has been filed against me, will it still be posted?
No , we will need both videos in order to have them displayed on the People's Court Raw website .
17. Why was my video rejected?
There are any number of reasons a video can be rejected. Most common are copyright material ,nudity, slander, abusive language.
