Most of you probably aren't old enough to remember Vietnam. I am. We 'retreated' from there. I'm sorry, we are not a nation of quitters. This is the first intelligent thing Obama has done. Come on 2010 and 2012. As Bill said, they are all volunteers. If you ask THEM, they don't want to retreat from all I've read and heard. They want to get the job done and make not only my country safer, but the whole world. Make sure you do research before the next elections come up so you can vote intelligently.

Anyone who thinks that Obama is great or bush is great is falling right into the trap, Obama Bush Clinton, you name it they're all the same. They just know if they could get us to argue with each other they could keep driving this country into the ground and just becoming more powerful. How many rights and freedoms have we given up in the name of terror? Wake up people.

Sad, but its what Obama inherited from the previous administration. Its only been a year and his policy changes are just beginning to take affect. Obama is heaven sent, within the last year America as a whole has become a compassionate nation. Never felt prouder to be an American than I am today!

I have and will continue to date older women. The biggest difference with lets say a young 20 year old and a lady over 35 is maturity. Guys, we are not complicated we get with a woman because we see ourselves becoming intimate with her. Young girls, in my experience, care about the car a man drives and if he can afford to take her out. I don't think it's a trend, I think man are really wising up.

I think it's very sad, yes. I also think it might be out of hand but I also think that it's an unfair judgement. The presidents of the past were discriminated just as they are now for doing the same. And why? Because we don't know very much. A lot of people thin it's because of oil and a lot of people think it's terror. A lot of people think it's because we wan to fight. But we don't know what the government is really thinking all the time. It's not right to give Ohbama or Bush bad mouth for just that because it's hard to please people and protect them at the same time. Why were 2 presidents given bad rep for the Vietnam war while the third was a hero? We make judements on our morals but the law and everything done it it cannot always be done based on what makes us feel right.

I'm not sure either of you, like many that voice their idiotic opinions, knows enough to be making judgements. It is a very complicated situation and it would be wise to learn more before you express how you feel. You might change your opinion.

Do you guys know what the war is even about? I'm talking to the people that know little to nothing about the government. The reason we are over there is to stop a group of people who will KILL US ALL if we don't stop them! Let's comprimise here....send 1 troop instead of 30,000, is that better? It is? Good! Now that the taliban will kill us we don't have to worry about 2012!

Ok, so what else is he going to do? As much as I was against both wars from the very beginning, the fact is we are over there now. We have to leave it in a better place than we found it. Yes, it's a war that should have never been started; we can debate 'til the cows come home, the relevance of either war but that does not mean that we should not deal with the current facts as they are presented to us by the military. They said they needed more people, Obama was smart to give them what they wanted.

The biggest thing I've always noted is that our military is 100% volunteers. Our soldiers knew what they were getting into when they enlisted and if they don't like it, they can quit. I wont argue whether the war is right or not because it doesn't change the fact that we're there. Pulling out, or "retreating" as you put it, would only damage our reputation throughout the world and make us a larger target for terrorists. Never forget, our troops are there to keep me and you safe. The whole purpose of sending more troops is to ensure the safety of our troops that are already over there. To put it simply, they need someone to watch their back. Ultimately, for Obama to send more troops means that there was a serious need. Because, if not, he would never agree to send more. And I thank god that the decision was left up to the professionals and not a kid that's just repeating her teacher's indoctrination. Wait a few years, learn what the world is really like, then and only then will I listen to your opinion.
