Ok, I have to agree with Dave on this, convienient stores are way easier in many ways. Yes Todd, you do still have to park, but you are only a few feet away from the door, and not in the back 40. I avoid supermarkets at all costs and usually go really late at night to avoid the crowd and "inconvienience". As for the soft pack being part of your image and cooler, you are cuckoo. OMG, I found the perfect guy, but had to let him go, he smoked hard packs!! Sounds pretty ridiculous huh? Are you really cooler?? Dave, I think he's doing it just to annoy you. Navarro needs to chill about Todd. If Todd goes into a supermarket (vs 711 store) to buy cigs, who cares. On a different note: I respect both of them for acknowledging in their videos that smoking is not recommended. I am noticing comments from the general public about how "if we smoke, it’s not your problem, so don’t worry about it." But smoking (like other things) is a problem everyone should be concerned about. Smoking creates sickness, which means doctor or hospital visits. This increases the medical insurance rates that ALL of us pay. The fact of the matter is that smokers just don’t like to hear THE TRUTH that they are slowly killing themselves. I know of a co-worker who required extensive surgery to remove cancer from his tongue and jaw area. His ability to speak is so messed-up.

And there are many convinent stores, like 711 that have soft packs... I used to smoke and I remembered having to deal with the soft packs because they would run out of the boxes. I have pet peeves, too, but this would not be one of them. My biggest pet peeve is people chewing with their mouths open or noisily. I rarely go to movies anymore, and if I do, I try and get seats with no one behind me. People in the movies are the rudest - they chew their popcorn with gusto. They smack and crunch and suck - I'm praying that food is not spitting out of their mouths and into my hair. My 2nd pet peeve in the movies is when parents are not controlling their children - cannot tell you how many times some young child has sat behind me kicking my seat. Mostly I just move.

Smoking is a inconvenience to all us non-smokers in more ways than just the second-hand smoke. It does get on my nerves when I am out of cigs and my husband has to go all the way to the end of town to buy me a pack of cigs. I could understand your position if you were a non=smoker. Scince your in a band then you could probably then relate to your audience anticipating something in or about your performance and then not getting what they hoped for. As an ex-smoker, I always bought the hard packs as they protected my cigarettes in my purse a bit better. I also know many men that preferred the soft packs as they fit better in t-shirt pockets and such. Packaging does indeed make a difference. Therefore, I think Dave is mistaken in his rant. I can't see going through all the hassle if you don't even a TRY a convenience store first! Pop your head in and ask "Excuse me, do you carry...." whatever it is. The best bet is to ask the closest nearby convenience stores to carry such and such a brand of smokes in the soft packs. Peoples court is the best Judge show on television, but this site is crap. I'm truly dissappointed in the producers of this site and the garbage they allow on.....by the way, the "conflict" between dave and todd is a prime example. It isn't worth the time to comment on it. Bye

I did vote for Toddo but both of you are nuts..ive worked in both type of stores and both carry soft and hard packs. Im also a smoker(very bad habit indeed)just dont go to the store together...problem solved Dave...and why would Toddo going to the supermarket bother you sooooooo much?

To wowed in Ohio - I don't think this site can have much effect on real "conflicts", but it can help settle disputes like this. If Dave ends up losing, perhaps he'll give in and hand Todd this argument. I put up a case on here about ripping my friend's snowboard pants, and even though I still think it was his fault, I lost so I sent him 15 bucks. But he still hasn't cashed the check. What's up with that?

this was stupid.. just publicity but i vote todd because he actually has a valid point. why buy something you dont like? im a smoker and i absolutly hate the soft pack but that still doesnt change the fact that if you want something and a store doesnt have it... you wont be satisfied so do what makes you happy. i agree with wowed in ohio.. talk about Darfur or the opression in China!

I don't smoke so I don't know the difference about packaging but it seems like Tod makes a valid point. If the 7eleven's kind of stores don't carry the kind he likes then he should be able to go the grocery store. However I can see Dave's point if maybe Tod says I will be over in a minute but I have to stop and buy cigs, that could be a hassle. Good luck to you both on this whole issue. Maybe you both could quit smoking toghether and this won't be an issue anymore.
